President's Message

Dear Surgical Colleagues,

Winter has finally come. The cold has kept me inside even though there is NO Green Bay Packer or Badger Football to watch! I am looking forward to brighter, warmer days and taking time to look ahead as we start planning the events for The Wisconsin Surgical Society this year.

Please complete the enclosed 2012 Wisconsin Surgical Society annual dues payment form and return with your payment. You may, however pay your dues conveniently and securely on line at www.wisurgicalsociety.com.

Our annual Spring Council meeting will be held on March 30th. If any members have items that they would like our society to address, please let me know.

The fall meeting is scheduled for November 2nd and 3rd, again to be held in Kohler, WI. Please mark your calendars and plan to attend. Accommodations can be reserved by phoning The American Club at 800-344-2838, or online at www.americanclubresort.com.

There are multiple reasons to attend these meetings. Stating the obvious, the presentations by the residents, students, and members are of very high quality and help us keep current with advances in our field. It is a good opportunity to connect with surgical residents that may be seeking employment as well as see old friends and make new friends.

Kind Regards,

Dean Klinger, MD; FACS
Associate Professor of Surgery
