Annual Wisconsin Doctor Day – March 29 – Save the Date

Annual Wisconsin Doctor Day at the State Capitol is Wednesday, March 29th.

The Wisconsin Surgical Society is a strong sponsor of this event.

The WSS will hold a morning breakfast meeting in conjunction with Doctor Day to start at 8:30 am at the Monona Terrace. The official Doctor Day event will commence at 9:30 am.

The program will include a review of the key health care issues the legislature is addressing in 2017. Attendees will hear from keynote speaker Michael Heifitz, the Wisconsin Medicaid Director, and a Legislative Leaders Panel who will discuss the current political environment in Wisconsin as well as the status of important health care issues. This will be followed by an Issues Briefing and lunch.

During the afternoon, you will use what you learned during the morning to participate in meetings with YOUR Senator and Representative and/or their staff. This provides an opportunity to join other physicians and advocate on the issues impacting your patients and the surgical profession. The official Doctor Day event will end with a reception to be held near the capital beginning at 3:30 pm.

The Wisconsin Surgical Society will be hosting a Members Only Debrief and Dinner to follow the Doctor Day Reception. The details of this event will be forthcoming.
